 Still Separate Still Unequal

This article speaks on school segregation and educational inequality.

Elise C Boddie and Dennis D Parker states "No one is really talking about school segregation anymore"

Although many students learn about historical struggles to desegregate schools in the civil rights era, segregation as a current reality is largely absent from the curriculum.


Article(2) How Elite Schools Stay so White 

- politicians trying to increase the number of black and latino students and top public high schools.

The article states "In the United states elites are mostly white people..." This means asian americans, latinos, native americans, african americans and even more are pitted againt one another for conveted spots at elite schools. 

 We need to direct out attention to the fundamental ways, selective admissions and educational situations maintain the privilege of whiteness.

 Isabella D'Arezzo Blog #2 We're in Trouble When I reflect on this text I see a world fallen far from where we began. As we may have gotten smarter in technology and more confident within, we still struggle as a society socially. There is so much to learn in this world, and there are so many social systems that are strongly affecting our community/society. This text's main talk is privilege in this world. Talking about privilege and power isn't always easy because in this generation it's an argument not a debate, and that's sad. We aren't even able to come together as a community anymore and share are true real feelings without most likely being judged or harassed by somebody else.
